About the Job: VisualZen is a software development company that specializes in providing Cloud Solutions for the Higher Education market. Our proven suite of Higher Education products (VZ EDU) are designed to "empower the student life cycle". From prospective, applied, admitted, enrolled to graduated students, VZ EDU allows both students and administrators to experience a seamless process both in functionality and management.

We are looking for a new team member, who is extremely passionate about programming and problem solving, to be the Senior Software Developer for one of our products VZ Orientation (VZO). VZO is an online orientation reservation & management system specifically built for Orientation Departments. Our current client base is 75+ and growing.

Purpose: Perform senior developer duties for VZO by studying operations; designing, developing, and maintaining source code; supporting and developing team members; innovating and maintaining internal processes.

Technical Requirements:
1. BS or MS degree in Computer Science/Engineering OR equivalent work experience
2. Extremely high proficiency in C#, ASP.NET, Web Service Technologies (ASMX, WCF), HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and XML
3. Extremely high proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server (Query Analyzer, TSQL, Stored Procedures, and DTS/SSIS)
4. Extremely high proficiency with Visual Studio 2010
5. Extremely high proficiency in object oriented programming techniques
6. Extremely high proficiency in information technology, particularly in programming
7. Extremely high proficiency in analytical and problem-solving skills, including the development and implementation of systems of moderate size/complexity

Job Responsibilities:
1. Display ninja-like programming skills.
2. Communicate and work with other Senior Developers (SD) to organize and prioritize all technical VZO tasks.
3. Communicate all completed tasks to the Project Manager (PM).
4. Complete/develop all technical VZO tasks.
5. Communicate any x-factors or unexpected delays to the PM immediately.
6. Provide technical assistance to LDs and JDs.
7. Communicate and take initiative on new processes, ideas, and direction.
8. Responsible for the completion/development/research of any technical aspect of VZO not explicitly listed above.

4. Experience using Visual Studio 2010
5. Detailed understanding of object oriented programming techniques
6. Strong theoretical background and substantial experience in information technology, particularly in programming
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including proficiency in the development and implementation of systems of moderate size/complexity

Job Responsibilities:
1. Communicate and work with a Project Manager (PM) to organize and prioritize all functional VZO tasks.
2. Organize and prioritize all technical VZO tasks.
3. Communicate all completed tasks to the PM.
4. Complete/develop all technical VZO tasks.
5. Compile any and all questions regarding technical VZO tasks and schedule a time to review these questions with the Senior Developer (SD).
6. Communicate any x-factors or unexpected delays occur, then communicate these to the PM immediately.
7. Request technical assistance from the SD if unable to complete a task by the previously established deadline/timeframe.
8. Support all VZO meetings/phone calls as the technical representative.
9. Document all customizations to each VZO client.
10. Communicate all customizations to the SD.
11. Communicate and take initiative on new processes, ideas, and direction.
12. Responsible for the completion/development/research of any technical aspect of VZO not explicitly listed above.
