Junior/Senior ASP.NET Web Application Developer (C#/SQL)
- Your role @ VZ:
As a team member, your role will be to work closely with our Senior Application Developer and Senior Project Manager in the maintenance, configuration, and continued development of our product VZ Orientation. Also, you will occasionally be tasked on projects with our other products/services.
- What VZ requires:
- Bachelor and/or Master of Science degree in computer science or a related field
- Detailed understanding of object oriented programming techniques
- Extensive experience programming with .NET technologies, including ASP.NET and C#
- Specific experience with Visual Studio 2003/2005
- IIS Administration
- Experience with Visual Studio 2010 is a plus
- Expertise with databases (including Microsoft SQL Server 2005, and Transact-SQL), creating and performance-tuning of stored procedures, and SQL functions
- HTML, XML, XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, Experience
- Strong theoretical background and substantial experience in information technology, particularly in programming
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including proficiency in the development and implementation of systems of moderate size/complexity
- Ability to handle tasks independently with little or no supervision
- Strong communication (spoken and written) skills, including the ability to advise and train users in the use of complex systems/applications and effectively prepare specifications and other written reports/documentation in a clear, concise style
- Interest in learning and adapting to new and evolving technologies
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively in a team environment
- Candidates should be local or open to relocation
- Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer
- Project Management experience or PMP/PMI Certification is a plus
- Ability to obtain US Government Security Clearance is a plus
